California Consumer Privacy Act Notice
Effective Date: October 11, 2023
This Privacy Notice for California Residents supplements the information contained in Fama Blog’s Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California. We have adopted this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and subsequent amendments, including the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice.

Information We Collect
Fama Blog collects information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device (“personal information”).

We may use collected personal information for the following business purposes:

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we’ve collected from you, subject to certain exceptions allowed under the law. These exceptions include situations where we need to retain information to:

- Debug and repair errors
- Exercise free speech or ensure another consumer’s right to exercise free speech
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Right to Opt-Out of Sales
We do not sell your personal information, so there is no need to opt out. However, if our practices change, we will update this notice and provide a method for opting out of sales.

Exercising Your Rights
To exercise your rights to know or delete described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request by:

Only you or a person authorized to act on your behalf may make a request. You may make up to two requests in a 12-month period.
Verification Process
We cannot respond to your request if we cannot verify your identity or authority. To verify your identity, we will ask for information that matches what we have on file. The information requested will depend on the nature of your request and the sensitivity of the information involved.
We will only use personal information provided in a request to verify the requestor’s identity and authority to make the request.
Response Timing
We strive to respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days. If more time is needed (up to 90 days), we will inform you in writing of the reason and extension period. If you have an account with us, we will deliver our response to that account. If you don’t have an account, we will deliver our response electronically or by mail, at your option.
Other California Privacy Rights
California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users who are California residents to request certain information regarding disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us at privacy@famablog.com.
